Mystic the Moose.
This is Averi's first moose painting, brought to life with her signature colors and muted background. We occasionally spot a moose, usually in the summertime in the woods or near water, so beautiful to see!
Facts about moose: Moose are the largest of all the deer species. Males are immediately recognizable by their huge antlers, which can spread 6 feet from end to end. Moose have long faces and muzzles that dangle over their chins. A flap of skin known as a bell sways beneath each moose's throat. On average, they live 15-20 years and weigh 1800 lbs. Averi Iris Smith is a Montana native, a self taught teen artist, and athlete living in Bozeman Montana, attending her senior year of high school. As many kids do, Averi loved to paint as a young child, the only difference is she never stopped loving it. When she was 10 she sold her first piece but it wasn't until the summer before freshman year that she found her style. It continues to develop and change with each piece but her signature pop of color mixed with realistic tones has continued to be her trademark.With encouragement of her family and plenty of supplies, Averi fully embraced her passion and has been selling her paintings ever since.
